“… The Paradubice Chamber Orchestra does quite a creditable job. The energy it devotes to this music is palpable from the outset. In the slower movements the players elicit some nicely sensitive lyricism, and in the stately minuets the proper proud tempos. I am impressed by the drive of the often perpetual motion finales, but they also inevitably have a knack for knowing when to slacken the pace and how to define Koželuch’s sometimes quirky sense of contrast… the recording is lively enough to give a decent sampling of Koželuch’s works, and the listening should be quite enjoyable, not to mention doing its part to a more equitable evaluation of symphonic music of the Classical era.”

"... THis is a set of fine works, well imagined and crafted... The playing of the Czech Chamber Orchestra is excellent, enthusiastic, and sympathetic. I would like just a bit more string vibrato, but this clear-toned, sleek string sound works well in this music. Marek Stilec keeps things moving with fine sensitivity, the excellent sound suites the music, and Allan Badley's notes are interesting and informative."
