Pavlo Beznosiuk’s recording of the Op. 6 Concerti Grossi has a vigor and vitality that set it apart from other performances. He makes some over-familiar works exciting again and should cause even the most jaded of listeners to hear these works with renewed interest. This is now my favorite recording of these works

These are urbane performances, constantly engaging, fascinating in the minutiae of the playing, the sharing of prominence between parts, and in the conversational ebb and flow of counterpoint.
