The Skride Quartet was formed for a concert at Schubertiade Festival in 2016. Whilst maintaining their own high profile solo careers, their passion for chamber music unites the four of them. Within a short period of time they have grown into a close-knit chamber ensemble in great demand internationally. This Debut-CD includes the most famous Piano Quartets of Classical literature, by Mozart and Brahms as well then the unique Quartet movement by Gustav Mahler.

"...Recommended for those who want all three works conveniently packaged together. Orfeo's recorded sound is everything it could be."
Huntley Dent – Fanfare – November/December 2019
**** Excellent Album
Isabelle Werck - Classica magazine (France) - November 2019
"This may be a debut disc, but the Skride Piano Quartet shows it already has bags of personality. The group finds balance between generous sound, overall architecture and telling detail." ****
Rebecca Franks - BBC Music magazine (Brief Notes section) - August 2019
“…This is an auspicious debut recording from the Skride Quartet… there is certainly much to admire in these very fine performances.”
Robert Beattie – Musicweb-International.com – 26 June 2019
“… they [Skride Piano Quartet] launch themselves headlong at the Mahler, and with Lauma handling the wonderfully splashy piano part list Liszt in a fever-dream, it couldn’t feel more right. So sit back, we’re on the road to Brahmsian glory.”
Richard Bratby – Gramophone magazine – June 2019
