‘A truly refreshing performance! Richly coloured, honest, full of joy and with good agogics! This trio belongs to another league!’ So wrote Ensemble Magazine of Trio Gaspard, one of the most sought-after piano trios of its generation, whose members are praised for their unique and fresh approach to the score. The Trio is regularly invited to perform at concert halls throughout the world, such as Wigmore Hall, London, Berliner Philharmonie, KKL Lucerne, Grafenegg Castle, Austria, Salle Molie`re, Lyon, Unione Musicale Torino, and Shanghai Symphony Hall, and has also made appearances at Heidelberger Fru¨hling, Mantua Chamber Music Festival, Boswiler Sommer, and BBC Proms, among others. Founded in 2010, the Trio won top prizes at the International Joseph Joachim Chamber Music Competition, in Weimar, Fifth International Haydn Chamber Music Competition, in Vienna, and Seventeenth International Chamber Music Competition, in Illzach, France, and, in 2012, received the Preis der Stadt Baden, Austria, in the category ‘Wiener Klassik’. The Trio, whose members hail from Germany, Greece, and the UK, has worked regularly with Hatto Beyerle, a co-founding member of the Alban Berg Quartet, and at the European Chamber Music Academy worked with Johannes Meissl (of the Artis-Quartett), Ferenc Rados, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Je´ro^me Pernoo, and Peter Cropper (of the Lindsay String Quartet).
