Nancy Argenta
Nancy Argenta made her professional debut in 1983. With a repertoire spanning three centuries she has been hailed for her performances of works by Handel and composers as diverse as Mahler, Mozart, Schubert and Schoenberg. Her ability to adapt from large-scale orchestral works to chamber music and recitals has earned her great recognition and respect. She works closely with many distinguished conductors including Trevor Pinnock, Christopher Hogwood, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Sir Roger Norrington, and has sung with the Philharmonia Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Düsseldorf Symphonic Orchestra, Orchestra of St Luke’s, New York, the Toronto and Montreal, Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras and the NACO Orchestra. In opera, concert and recital she has appeared at many leading festivals including Aix-en-Provence, Mostly Mozart, Schleswig-Holstein and the BBC Proms. Born and raised in Canada, Nancy Argenta now lives in England.
